How reviews work

Who can write a review

  • Anyone who has had a genuine experience with a company in the last five years.
  • One review per person per company. You can update it at any time.
  • You cannot review a company you work for, own, or compete with.

What a review must not contain

  • Anything you were paid, given a discount or offered a reward to write.
  • Personal details such as phone numbers, email addresses or home addresses.
  • Hate speech, threats, harassment or obscene content.
  • Advertising, links or spam.

What companies can and cannot do

  • Companies can claim their profile, reply to reviews in public and report reviews that break these rules.
  • Companies cannot edit, hide or delete reviews, and cannot pay to have reviews removed.
  • Companies that invite customers must invite them all, not only the ones expected to be happy. Reviews written from an invitation are labelled "Invited by the company".
  • Paid plans give companies extra tools. They never change ratings, the order of reviews, or how we moderate.

How we moderate

  • We check reviews for signs of fakes, conflicts of interest and abuse, and remove reviews that break these rules.
  • Anyone signed in can report a review. A report does not hide the review; our team decides.
  • The rating is the average of all published reviews.
